Criminal Law
The Law Offices of Mark A. Worsham represents criminal defendants who have been charged in state courts on Oahu and throughout the Hawai'ian islands. Although we focus our practice primarily on major felonies, drug crimes, and domestic abuse, we also handle misdemeanors and every other type of felony charge, from theft to murder.
Drug Crimes
If you have been charged with a drug crime, seek advice from an experienced criminal defense lawyer who can help you fight your case or negotiate a favorable plea agreement on your behalf. In Hawai'i, penalties for drug crimes vary widely depending on the charge and the surrounding circumstances. For example, possession of a few ounces of marijuana may be punishable by a year in jail and a $2,000 fine, while cultivation or sale can potentially lead to more than a decade of incarceration, and fines in the tens of thousands of dollars.
Domestic Violence
Domestic violence, sometimes referred to as domestic abuse, is a serious charge, and can have dramatic effects on your life, including potential child custody consequences. Depending on the circumstances, you can be charged with domestic violence as a misdemeanor or a felony. If you have been charged with abusing your spouse, child, a member of your household, or someone you are dating, seek advice from an experienced criminal defense lawyer. A knowledgeable attorney can help you understand your options and advocate on your behalf in court.
